KLP Launcher

Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026

By downloading, installing or using KLP Launcher you agree to the terms set out below. They are brief because the project itself is simple: a free launcher that runs on your own computer, sells nothing, and holds no account on your behalf.

1. Disclaimer

NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT.
NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. This project has no affiliation with, sponsorship from, or endorsement by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.

2. You must own Minecraft yourself

KLP Launcher does not provide, distribute or resell a Minecraft licence. It only helps you manage and launch a game you already legitimately own. Using this launcher does not change any agreement between you and Mojang or Microsoft; the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement and Usage Guidelines continue to apply to you.

3. Prohibited uses

The following are explicitly not permitted and will receive no support from this project:

4. Provided as is, without warranty

The software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and maintainers of this project accept no liability for any direct or indirect loss, including but not limited to: loss or corruption of saves or instance data; the game failing to start or behaving incorrectly; problems caused by third-party mods or modpacks; incorrect files served by a download source or mirror; and consequences of incorrect advice from the AI assistant.

About the AI assistant: it proposes changes and can carry out actions for you, but every write, modification or deletion requires you to confirm it on a confirmation card first, and deletions additionally list what they will affect. Once you have confirmed, the outcome is your responsibility; please back up any important data beforehand.

5. Your data is your responsibility

The instances, saves, mods and account credentials the launcher manages all live on your own computer. This project can neither access nor recover them, and backups remain your responsibility. For details of what is sent where, see the Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party content

The launcher fetches content from Modrinth, CurseForge, the official loader sources, mirror nodes and similar, and displays server information contributed by the community. That content is the responsibility of whoever provides it. This project makes no guarantee about its availability, accuracy, safety or legality, and displaying something does not imply endorsement of it.

7. Licence and copyright

KLP Launcher is provided free of charge, but it is not public domain software: the program itself, its source code, the name, the icon and the visual identity are copyright of the KLP team. All rights reserved.

You may install and use it freely, and may refer to its name and screenshots in articles, reviews and tutorials. Without written permission, it may not be decompiled, repackaged, or redistributed in any form that could lead others to believe it originates from this project.

Minecraft and its related names, trademarks and assets belong to Mojang Studios and Microsoft.

8. Changes and termination

These terms may be updated as features change; updates appear on this page and refresh the date at the top. You may stop using the launcher and uninstall it at any time. This project may likewise discontinue update services, content endpoints or download addresses at any time; software already installed on your computer will not cease to function as a result.
